You can get to the Southwest coastal path in just a few steps, with the beach a little below the hotel and the visitor centre in the other direction. The New Inn is right in the middle of the village and close to everything, yet it's quiet enough to hear the sea at night. There's no need to go out for dinner, either, as the restaurant has different dinner options each night. Breakfast is a full English and then some, so you won't leave hungry. The rooms have been completely renovated to a high standard. They're cosy and attractive, with lovely linens and very comfortable beds. The New Inn itself is striking inside and out, beautifully appointed and perfectly situated. Even with all that, it feels so comfortable. The new owners were generous and hospitable, and clearly wanted us to feel at home in their new space. Marvelous really is the right word for our stay. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel and can't wait to return.

The bar does a very good pint of Guinness and generous home-cooked meals. Breakfast is amazing and will set you up for a coastal walk. It's very dog friendly too, which was a bonus for Taffy, especially the sausages. Theresa and Ian, the new owners, are bringing this Arts & Crafts hotel back to life with a sympathetic restoration. The rooms are individually decorated in period style, and some have balconies or sea views. Do visit, you won't be disappointed.

The location and staff were absolutely perfect, but we were very disappointed by the room. It wasn't remotely like the photo on the website. It was also listed as having a sea view, so we expected to see the sea from the window. Instead, we had to go out onto a balcony shared with two other rooms, and could see the sea in the distance by looking in their direction.

The staff were very kind, and we enjoyed a very good Sunday lunch. The Guinness was just right!

The rooms have been updated beautifully, the team were friendly and caring, and the food in the cosy pub downstairs was delicious.
