Check-in was super easy, and the accommodation is lovely and roomy. It's in a good spot near the seafront, though not right on the beach, which is what you might dream of. The only thing I noticed was a busy road that locals seem to use a bit like a racetrack. It's not a major issue, and there's nothing the park can do about it.
Dog owners, we really appreciated the pet-friendly policy, and having a dedicated parking bay was great. The beach is open for unrestricted dog walks from October to April. From May 1st to September 30th, dogs have to use the far end, another 5 or 10 minutes' walk away. The apartment is otherwise ideally located, just a short stroll from the beach. The spacious terrace hot tub was a real treat, one of the best maintained we've used, and the maintenance team deserve credit. We spent every evening in it, watching the stars. Inside, everything was clean and stylish, with a nautical theme. The open-plan living area was great for winding down after the beach, with a huge Smart TV and Bluetooth sound system. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and more, including a dishwasher and coffee machine. It really felt like a home away from home. Both bedrooms were comfortable and had fans, TVs and DVD players. Towels were provided for the hot tub and showers, and the robes were a nice extra. The bathrooms felt luxurious, and the jacuzzi bath was ideal after a long walk. The park's laundry room was near the entrance and coin operated. It seemed good value at around £10 to wash and dry a large load. There were flyers and area information there too. We couldn't recommend the Sandymere apartment more highly. It gave us everything we needed for a comfortable, memorable coastal break, and we can't wait to return!
We visited in early March, probably about as quiet as it gets, and would recommend the place. Our caravan was number 7, listed on air b and b. It was compact but cosy, with two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and living room, all very clean and well presented. The town and sea are very close, about a five-minute walk. There's a laundrette on site, though we didn't use it. WiFi is free, but the 5g was very good. We could park beside the van, and there are also general spaces at the front of the site, including an electric charger. A nice, quiet location.
Tidy and quiet, with good access to the country park, beaches and seafront amenities.
