The hosts Gillian and Lee are warm and gracious, and they should be proud of their beautifully renovated mill house. We felt at home during our short visit and would definitely come back next time we're passing through. Highly recommend, and thank you both. Our family room was spacious, with a queen bed, a generous single, and a very comfortable pull-out bed. There was plenty of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, plus a tasty selection of biscuits. The room was spotless, and the bathroom had a sizable shower. One small suggestion: the bathroom window isn't frosted, so dancing in your undies like I did could get you spotted from the car park! Maybe a window transfer would help. Breakfast was delicious, with a generous choice of a cooked or continental option. The dining area was spotless too.

The owners, Gillian and her husband, were warm and dedicated, and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Sorry I can't remember his name. There are several restaurants a five-minute walk away, so the location worked really well. We had a wonderful stay in the family room. It was spacious, spotless, and beautifully kept, with very comfortable beds and exceptionally clean bathrooms. The room had a kettle, coffee machine, and biscuits, a lovely touch. Breakfast had great variety and quality. Amazing stay, definitely 10/10. Highly recommended!

Old Mill B&B made us feel at home, maybe even better than at home. It's easily the best B&B we've had in the past 10 years of travelling in Ireland and the UK. The family room was extremely spacious and really cosy. Gillian does everything she can to make the stay wonderful, and Lee is such a nice, open-minded person, like meeting a good Friedrich. If we return to southern Scotland, we'll definitely stay here again.

The location suited us well, with a short drive into Edinburgh, a park next door for the children, and parking on site almost beside the room. Breakfast was freshly made to order, a healthy portion, and very tasty. Gillian was a lovely B&B host, welcoming, pleasant, friendly, and understanding. The service was outstanding throughout. The accommodation itself is stunning, with characterful, immaculately clean rooms stocked with what you'd need, including fresh coffee-making facilities. 10/10, we'll visit again.

The hosts were truly lovely, and the property's thoughtful restoration is a real highlight. There are wonderful before-and-after photos in the breakfast room. Breakfast was superb too. We had a fantastic time at the Old Mill. Our Queen room was great, with a comfortable bed, coffee and biscuits, and a neat bathroom. The property is an easy walk from the town centre but still peaceful. We'd be very happy to stay again.
