Aloft Birmingham Eastside, A Marriott Hotel

I only checked out recently and had a fantastic stay. My accessible room was amazing, with a wet room, a chair and a great shower. The bed was a good height too. The hotel staff were always attentive and helpful, and I can't thank everyone enough. Delwar at the bar was especially helpful and always up for a friendly chat.

The hotel itself was amazing, and I had a great stay. The air con was great too, and the food and breakfast were amazing, though breakfast was £15.99 each. It’s dog friendly, with bowls around, so I thought a small accident might be something they were used to. I’d recently had stomach surgery and couldn’t bend down to clean up my dog’s wee. My partner had gone to get the car, about a seven minute walk away, and the staff member told me to wait until they got back. There was a cleaner right beside me, and I managed to wipe it up with toilet roll using my foot. I found the response quite rude, and the staff member seemed very manic.

It’s about a 15 minute walk along a straight road into the city centre, and to Moor Street and New Street Stations. The location also works well for the nearby universities: Aston and BCU are directly opposite on two sides, while BOA and Birmingham Met College are a short walk away. We’ve stayed several times, so knew what to expect, and it was just as good this time. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the modern rooms are clean, and the beds are especially comfortable. Breakfast has a straightforward selection of hot and cold food, with extras like poached egg and mushrooms available to order.

I was staying during Ramadan, and Neha, Lukasz, and Valentina kindly arranged breakfast to fit around my fasting schedule. Their thoughtfulness and hospitality made things much more comfortable. I really appreciated the team’s care and professionalism.
