Pairc House Hotel

The breakfast was greasy and poor, and the patron playing music during breakfast came across as rude. Staff stepped in locally after he was told, but the whole experience felt unfriendly, especially if you’re not part of the community. I also didn’t feel the staff cared when someone in our party left a day early. I’d have wanted to know why if it were my business. The rooms didn’t look like the photos. You could hear other rooms, music from the flats opposite, and the air-conditioning unit was awkwardly placed above the shelving instead of in the bedroom. The place felt cheaply built and not well thought through. We weren’t made to feel welcome, and the bill looked like cowboy work. It’s a poor reflection of what the website shows.

There’s a large car park included in the price, just a short walk away, and the hotel was quiet when we visited. The food was excellent, and the bar alone is worth a visit. Staff were great, the music was good, and everyone made us feel welcome. The hotel was clean, well presented, and in excellent condition. A gem in Birmingham, easily better than the budget chain hotels. Breakfast is available too.

Everyone I met was so friendly, not just the staff. The room was basic but newly decorated and incredibly clean, and the staff were helpful and welcoming. I didn’t try the bars, though they seemed popular, but I couldn’t hear anything from my room. For the price, it was much better than I expected. This is my go to place to stay in Birmingham now.

I miss the room, the breakfast, and even the conversations with the staff. The rooms were brilliant, but the people are what make the place. I’m not much of a traveller, but I’ll definitely come back for a getaway. I think her name was Christy or Christine, sorry if I’ve got it wrong. She was so welcoming and comforting, and her curls were amazing. I tried to do my hair like that, but it’s a mess. Love and miss you all.
