The flat smelled of smoke, the bed's springs dug into my back, and the advertised cable TV wasn't there. Even the local channels didn't work. I was told to park on the street or in the garage we'd entered using the fob, then got a £60 fine two weeks later. Panda group won't reply to my messages, and I can no longer access their instructions. My car rental company also charged me another £68. I felt especially let down by what seemed like disgusting tactics towards overseas visitors. Birmingham has left a bad taste in my mouth. I was pressured into leaving a good Booking.com review because of the £320 security deposit. Wouldn't recommend.

The apartments looked modern and were reasonably priced for the location, which is why I rented here. But since moving in I've found silverfish throughout the building, at least in Block C. They keep appearing on multiple floors, even though the management company says it has arranged pest control. I can't live with them continually coming into my apartment and having to keep insect powder by the doors and all over the floors, so I'll move out as soon as I can.

I was there from September into October and didn't run into any problems. The area is lovely and quiet, and it's pleasant to walk around or head out shopping. My room was good, with clean, tidy interiors, a clean bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen and living room.

The central location was the one good thing. The carpet was stained, the apartment was too hot with hardly any ventilation, and the sofa smelled of curry and sweat. The neighbour's balcony looked straight into the bedroom, and we could hear them chatting all evening. On the hottest day of the year we had to keep the windows shut. The WiFi instructions didn't work either, and the bed was hard and springy. Never again.

I've stayed with Bridgestreet in both London and Birmingham and keep coming back. This time we had a lovely, clean two-bedroom apartment at the Birmingham postbox for three days, then added another night. It had all the amenities we could need, and the staff were amazing and really went out of their way for us. Couldn't have asked for more. Thanks again, Bridgestreet!
