There’s loads of room here for student life, with a 24/7 gym plus study and social spaces. The staff are welcoming and help sort out problems, and they also put on things like massage sessions, breakfast, welcome parties and movie nights to help everyone enjoy their time at Canvas. A great place to live and have fun as a student. I’d recommend it to anyone!

The staff were always kind and helpful, which was the one good part of my year here. The room hadn’t even been cleaned when I moved in, and the windows didn’t open properly. The accommodation felt old, worn out, dirty and mouldy, especially for how overpriced it was. I’d tell people to avoid it and stay somewhere else.

The location is a major plus, close to Aston University and the city centre with good transport links, and the building is well maintained. My studio has been comfortable and private, and the accommodation is clean and usually quiet. Notices about maintenance and disruptions are regular and clear. Most staff, both longstanding and newer team members, have been pleasant and supportive from the start. Housekeeping are especially friendly, prompt and efficient when I need help. There have been a couple of disappointing issues: corridor noise from students could do with better monitoring by reception or security, and one receptionist was rude and unhelpful on several occasions. I was also let down by how poorly a late night concern about unauthorised access outside my window was followed up. Even with those problems, I’ve had a very good stay and would recommend the accommodation.

Right on campus and a great fit for Aston University students coming from out of town. It’s welcoming, spotless and really well organised. Definitely recommend! 🤩✨🎓👍
