Darren and his lady were lovely hosts. Darren was welcoming and so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. He even opened the restaurant early for us because we had to leave early in the evening for KYNREN. Our three rooms for six people were spotless and quiet, and this was our second visit this year. Breakfast was included in ample portions, and they happily catered for the vegan member of our group. There’s a nice garden for sitting in the sun, plus a bar with a good selection. It’s ideally placed for Bishop auckland and the fantastic Kynren show, just 15 mins away. We’ll definitely be back. Can't recommend it enough.

The garden could use a bit of care, but we still had a really nice stay. Our room was clean and the night was quiet, just what we wanted. A pleasant experience :)

Darren and his lady are lovely hosts, and the Thai food is excellent. I stayed two nights while working away. My room was spotless and tidy, and the bed was really comfortable. Downstairs there’s a good bar with a nice whisky selection and beer at a very reasonable price. Recommended.

The owners were really friendly and accommodating at this nice boutique hotel. Its Thai restaurant serves amazing food. Highly recommended.

We had booked two rooms, then drove 3 1/2 hours to find the hotel was closed and had been for some time. We weren't happy. With nowhere to stay, we had to drive 3 1/2 hours back home.
