Wednesday turned out to be steak night, and the dinner was great value. The steak was cooked perfectly, and a couple of pints followed by pudding made for a very good meal. It seemed popular with locals, which is always a good sign. My wife and I were in Yorkshire and stayed one night. The room was a decent size, with a modern bathroom, TV, and tea and coffee facilities. Nothing fancy, but very pleasant.

The food in the bar was outstanding. Our room was nice, and Harrogate and Knaresborough were only a short drive away. We had a lovely weekend and would definitely recommend it and go again.

We stopped for one night while travelling north. The room was comfortable, and both the evening meal and breakfast were tasty and genuinely home cooked. Great value, too. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We'd definitely stay again.
