Best Western Hotel 99

The receptionist made a lovely impression, very welcoming and chatty, and gave us useful tips about the area and local food. The room was comfortable too: one proper king bed rather than two singles pushed together, and the linen and towels smelled freshly washed with Lenor. One of the better hotel stays I've had.

My family had an awful stay. Staff were rude and aggressive, ignored their privacy, added charges we hadn't expected, and pressed them for details about their personal plans. It was a nightmare. We contacted Best Western headquarters to escalate things. They apologised, but said they couldn't control this branch, which is individually owned. The people called the management team are the same ones at reception, and we found them completely unprofessional. There doesn't seem to be much accountability when something goes wrong. Please be cautious about booking. Maybe you'll have an okay visit, but you never know when things might go wrong here.

Parking on site was a real plus in the middle of the city, and the centre is only about 200 metres away on foot. The rooms were clean, pleasant and quite roomy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A 10 out of 10 stay for me, and I'd gladly come back.

The price was fair, and the man on staff was really helpful. We were there for two nights in October, and I can't think of anything to fault. Everything was spotless, the mattress was excellent, and we slept well. We skipped breakfast, though there was plenty of tea and coffee. The towels seemed brand new, and the shower was great, big enough for two, lol. I'd happily stay again and recommend it. 10 out of 10.
