We were on holiday in Shropshire and liked the Old Three Pigeons so much that we went twice in three days. The portions were generous, the food was exquisite and it was great value. Everyone on staff was kind, lovely and helpful. We can’t wait to visit again. I can’t comment on the rooms since we didn’t stay overnight.

After a long walk on my own, I stopped in on a Saturday and felt genuinely welcome as a solo diner. The staff were really friendly and the menu has something for everyone. I’m usually a bit disappointed to see falafel as the vegan choice, but their Thai spiced version with super fat chips was delicious.

We brought our four daughters, their husbands and the grandchildren for my wife’s 60th birthday, 14 of us in all. The waitress was patient and very helpful, and the service was perfect. We all enjoyed the food, and there was a good choice of beer, wine and spirits.

The news that The Three Pigeons is closing next week is really sad. It feels like the end of an era, and the village will be poorer without Sean and Tash. They’ve been there for some of the biggest moments of our lives, including bringing us a Sunday lunch free of charge the day our son was born at home. We first met them over five years ago while looking to buy a house in the village, and our visit to The Three Pigeons helped us decide to build our life here. A fantastic place, lovely food and absolutely brilliant staff. Thank you for everything ❤️

We were glad we booked ahead for Sunday roast on our way home from north Wales, as it’s a popular stop. The veggie roast and range of puddings were delicious, and both the food and service were great. It’s family and dog friendly, and the helpful staff clearly care about giving customers a good experience.
