Premier Inn Shrewsbury Town Centre

Tracey and Bella made what could have been an ordinary night at Premier Inn feel really memorable. They were friendly, professional and genuinely caring from the moment I arrived, and handled everything warmly and efficiently. You can see how much pride they take in their work and in making guests comfortable. They both deserve recognition for their attitude and the service they gave. Premier Inn is lucky to have them.

I stayed one night for work on 12/2/26, and the staff were all lovely that evening. After checking out on 13/2, I got to work and realised I'd left my charger in the room. I rushed back and Adam greeted me, then let me go back upstairs to collect it. He was friendly and professional, thanks so much, Adam, you're a life saver!

The room was clean and tidy, but there was a constant hum and peeling paint on the wall. I'd booked a Premier Plus room, so the broken TV remote was especially disappointing. The batteries looked as if they'd been chewed by a hoover. At check-in, I couldn't get in early as planned: nobody was around, the buzzer was broken and the self-service QR code readers weren't working, so I had to leave and come back after my meeting. I also booked a meal deal, but had to remind them about the dessert because nobody came to check on us.

The location is absolutely ideal, and the rooms are good and up to the standard of other Premier Inns I've used. The noisy air conditioning is the main room issue: it turns itself on and up, doesn't work properly, and I've mentioned it every time without management or staff seeming bothered or doing anything. People I know, and others from our company, have had the same problem. Food and drink have been disappointing too. Draught beer has been unavailable for weeks at a time, apparently because the order wasn't placed, and that's happened more than once. Dinner service is slow, and after I complained about the food quality, the meat was still cold and overcooked. A few small fixes could make this as faultless as other Premier Inns I've stayed in.
