Art B&B

Our first visit was more than amazing, which makes this second stay such a shame. It’s clearly under new ownership now. There was no breakfast, the room was cold, and the bed and pillows were awful. Some of the decor had been taken away, and what remained was minimal. The owner spoke to us curtly and wasn’t friendly.

The building is beautiful, and the room was very clean. It was cold when we arrived, though, and we didn’t hear any noise from outside. Lucas was really helpful and accommodating. Parking costs £10 and is around the back, at an unused property behind a locked gate.

We had a really lovely stay. The hotel is quiet and well placed for the beach, tram, station and centre. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a good shower, and the owners were friendly and helpful. They offered us a late checkout, which made the last morning much more relaxed. Breakfast suited us perfectly, and we enjoyed sitting at the window table with a sea view. The dining room walls have lots of photos by local artists, including some from local colleges. I’m here for three nights in February 2026 and have really enjoyed my short stay so far. It’s a modern, quirky B&B with a nice finish and artwork in the rooms. The owners were lovely. Curry was available on the Saturday evening, and breakfast the next morning cost a little extra.
