The Berkswell Hotel

The stay felt like a home from home, and our hosts made us feel special and welcome. They've made a massive improvement, and the hotel is run to a high standard. Since the change of ownership, it's improved so much: the room was spotless and the whole hotel smelled and looked fresh and clean. Breakfast was great and kept me going until tea time. There wasn't any rubbish in the next door garden, though that's nothing to do with the new Berkswell. We couldn't have asked any more of the hosts. We recommend it to anyone and have booked again for later this year. Our friends want to join us. Huge thanks to the new Berkswell for making our stay wonderful.

I enjoyed every second, especially the family bar. The new hosts gave us a lovely welcome, and I'm very happy with how much standards have changed since my first stay. The rooms are clean and tidy, the location is perfect, and breakfast is great. It feels like a home away from home!

On the first day my partner and I had a cold shower because the landlady wouldn't put the hot water on. The TV had no signal, too. We booked bed and breakfast for September 26, 2025, but on the second day the landlady said her cooker had tripped. We were the only guests, and I think she didn't want to cook. On the third day there was no breakfast again. When I asked for a refund, she said yes and said it would be paid the next day, but it never came. I rang and she said she'd pay Wednesday, then Friday, but still nothing. I've kept calling and she avoids my calls. I strongly recommend not staying here.

The new owner was fantastic, the rooms were lovely, and the atmosphere was friendly. We had a absolutely brilliant time and will definitely stay again. Lovely breakfast too, thank you x
