The cook accommodated my very picky egg habit, which I appreciated. Breakfast was exceptional, and the staff were polite and well presented. The rooms are well kept and smell fresh, with good amenities in the hotel and nearby. I'd recommend this place to anyone staying in Blackpool.

The manager was a gentleman and left us to get on with things, while making sure there was plenty of toilet roll. He took in six lads at short notice after a problem at another hotel, and charged us a really good price. It's five minutes from the front, with no fuss about when we came back in the evening, just a polite request to keep the noise down. We'd stay again.

Breakfast was a piping hot full English, with cereal and tea or coffee, and the price was spot on for what the hotel offers. Mike, the owner, was a brilliant host and knew loads about the local area and its attractions. The rooms felt homely, warm and inviting, and the staff were welcoming and kept checking if we needed anything. We came with friends and thought the hotel was amazing. I couldn't fault it and would love to stay again soon. A+.

We didn't stay for breakfast. By then we'd had enough and wanted to get home. I almost left for another hotel, but had already paid the price, so stayed. The owner had offered me a free extra night when I called the night before because someone hadn't turned up. Honestly, I think they were the sensible ones. The bathroom shower wasn't fixed to the wall and leaked across the floor. In bedroom 14, the curtain pole was badly crooked, and the room was unbearably hot, with only a small window. The decor was very dated, worse than the photos, and there was a smell. Cleaning didn't seem thorough: some areas were very dusty and the cups were filthy, so we went out and bought our own. On arrival, the female owner hounded us for about an hour, saying we'd parked in her partner's space. She even told us to leave our keys so the owners could move the car. If the space mattered that much, a cone would have been a simple solution. I'm not usually one to leave negative feedback, but this deserved it.

The owners were kind and friendly and made us feel really welcome. We came for a family holiday, and I was impressed with the room. There was plenty of space for the kids to be themselves and for my partner and me to get some time alone.
