Funky Towers Hotel

The place was old and not looked after, with very poor hygiene throughout. It was very dirty and smelled awful. The person there was nice, but that's all I can say. I wouldn't recommend it.

We were glad we'd only booked one night, because we couldn't have stayed longer. The service was okay when we arrived and the staff were pleasant, but the room didn't look like the pictures we'd booked from. It was full of dust, mould and damp, and smelled bad. The couches were marked, the chair by the table was falling apart, and water was streaming down outside the window. The paintwork was patchy and wallpaper was peeling off the walls. There was a ladder right outside the bedroom window, which could be a safety issue for someone in the room or elsewhere in the hotel. The TV only worked a bit, with limited channels, and kept glitching. As shown in the pictures, my little brother and dad have since come up in rashes. Those appeared about ten minutes after we left the room.

There wasn't any disabled access, either outside or inside, and no lift. The outside stairs were really slippery and felt like a deathtrap. Our room wasn't adequate: the sink was beside the beds, some lights didn't work, there was damp on the walls, and the ceiling looked as if it might collapse. The staff weren't very welcoming, and the whole place was dated and smelled bad. I won't stay again.

The room was just a bed, and the TVs in some rooms don't work. Cleaning was okay, but nothing special. When you ask him questions, he just keeps saying when the rooms will be ready and doesn't say anything else.
