Gracelands Guest House

The breakfast was good, and I was greeted warmly when I arrived. The bed linen was clean, which was a relief. But the room needed a proper clean, and the sink drain smelled awful and barely let the water run away. There were no towels in the room, though I was offered one on arrival. The shared shower room was cramped and unclean, and the decor felt dated inside and out. I didn’t feel safe in the area at all. I only needed somewhere to sleep, so it was adequate, but I wouldn’t stay again. Blackpool felt run-down and desolate, and I didn’t feel safe there either.

The hosts made the place for me. They were incredibly friendly, took time to get to know everyone, and chatted as if we were old friends. They also cooked each breakfast just for the guest, exactly how they wanted it. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm and cosy, and parking was spacious, free, and easy. It was simple to find, too. I’m always looking for faults when I stay somewhere, but couldn’t find one here. The price was ridiculously low for the quality. Graceland will be my first choice in Blackpool from now on. Keep it up, guys.

I first stayed here on Tuesday night, 13 August 2022. It’s a quiet, affordable place near the seafront, with comfortable, clean rooms and bathrooms that are well furnished. The bathrooms aren’t en suite, but they’re easy to reach from the rooms. I came back on Friday, 11 July 2025, and stayed in room 4. The guest house is a five-minute walk from the seafront and has both single and double rooms. Room 4 had what I needed to make tea and coffee. It wasn’t en suite, but the shower and toilet were on the same floor. Breakfast is available and was good. I believe it’s a family-run business, and they run the place well.

The owners were so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was top notch. Graceland B&B is within walking distance of the city centre and all the attractions. We’d definitely stay here again if we come back to Blackpool. Thanks for having us.
