Granada Apartments Queen's Promenade

We were in 302 for one night, and the apartment was clean and had what we needed. On arrival, someone I assume was a cleaner was very polite and showed us to the room. Later, while I waited outside for a food delivery, someone I assume was from management was picking up litter that had blown into the front of the property. It gave me the impression the owners care about their guests. Thanks for the hospitality, we'll be back soon. The only awkward bit for me was the lift. I'm 6ft4 and 300lb, and with a pizza box in hand I couldn't turn around inside. My head touched the ceiling, and the old sliding door has to be opened and shut by hand, which takes some muscle. I understand that replacing it or making it bigger would mean major building work and cost hundreds of thousands of pounds, so it is what it is. Anyone taller than 6ft4 would certainly struggle. This is just useful information for anyone with mobility issues, not a complaint. If you can manage the stairs, I'd use them.

We had a lively family week in July, with our two energetic 14-year-old boys, and are already thinking about coming back. We booked a spacious two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor, with doors from the main bedroom opening onto a private garden. It became a lovely place to relax after busy days, and even in a summer heatwave the apartment stayed cool. The neighbourhood was peaceful after 11 PM, which suited us well. The location is right on the promenade, so the beach is just across the street. Shops and cosy cafes are nearby, and although it's a little farther out than we'd usually choose, getting around was easy. The tram stop is across the road, and Central Pier is about 10 minutes away by tram. There's also free on-site parking in a designated space, which was a big help. Inside, the apartment was much roomier than we'd expect for Blackpool. The master bedroom had two double beds and a sofa bed, and the smaller one had a double and a single. The spacious rooms had Smart TVs, and the fast free Wi-Fi kept everyone happy. The kitchen and dining area were fully stocked. Everything was spotless, with bright, modern decor, and the security gave us peace of mind. From booking onward, things went as promised, and the description online matched the apartment. The management team made us feel looked after without hovering. We got a cheerful welcome and complimentary ice creams when we arrived, a thoughtful touch. A few accessibility details may help other guests. Our apartment wasn't entirely ground level as we'd expected, and there were a few steps to get in. I could manage them, though they might be difficult for someone with limited mobility, such as a wheelchair user. The bathroom was a bit snug and could be hard to use if shower assistance were needed. As a blue badge holder, I appreciated having a designated parking spot, but it was tight for anyone needing extra room for mobility aids. I posted similar feedback on Booking.com and was glad the owners responded positively. They valued what I said about accessibility and are committed to improvements. I can't fault our stay.

We slept really well, with a very comfy bed and no noise from other apartments or outside. The apartment was exceptionally clean and had tea, coffee, milk and toiletries, as well as everything else we needed. The service was just as good. The code system worked without any problems, and there's a great parking area. I'd definitely recommend it and use it again. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

The only drawback was noise from the apartment above when it was occupied. Otherwise, it had everything I needed, and the staff were helpful without being intrusive. Free tea, coffee, milk and sugar were a nice extra, and there's free off-road parking. I'll definitely book again.
