Hello Roomz

The location is 10/10, with all the nice places within walking distance, but my stay was awful. The room was dirty and smelled like a sewer, so I asked to move to one that was only fairly cleaner. Towels looked dirty, there were stains on the walls and carpets, and the tea cups were dirty. My room wasn’t cleaned at all during my three nights. Instead, there was a notice saying to ask if cleaning was needed. There’s no room service, and the rooms are poorly ventilated. You can hear people above and next door, even breathing, and the staff seemed poorly trained. The Wi-Fi barely worked, phone reception and mobile data were very bad, and they don’t provide breakfast. Reviews on the hotel’s own site seemed probably fake, which is sad. Worst hotel experience I’ve had. I wouldn’t wish it on my enemy, and wouldn’t stay here if you have better options.

For a visit to the Pleasure Beach, the location is amazing. The room was basic, but spacious and had everything we needed for one night. They didn’t offer the baggage storage listed on the website, though they let us leave our bags in the lobby.

The restaurant next door was really nice and had plenty of choice. The hotel itself was good for the price, with standard, well-maintained rooms and very friendly service. It’s a short way from the Pleasure Beach, and the tram stop is right opposite. Very accommodating, and I’d definitely recommend it again.

The family room upstairs was roomy, nicely decorated, and had a sea view. I’d highly recommend those rooms and would stay in one again, even without breakfast. We also booked a small double, Room 11, which was absolutely tiny and badly in need of an update. The two rooms hardly seemed part of the same hotel. Staff were friendly and helped make sure we had a parking space outside.
