Hotel Vienna

The shower was broken and there was no hot water, which made the stay a nightmare. There wasn't even water provided in the room, a basic necessity in a hotel. I also couldn't find staff whenever I needed help. It felt as though the whole place was deserted, and several attempts to get assistance went nowhere. The lack of support was incredibly frustrating. I'd strongly advise people to look elsewhere.

The rooms could do with refurbishment, but they're still good value. We stayed four nights, and the electricity came back within 24 hours. When we arrived without power, the gents did everything they could to welcome us and make up for that minor inconvenience, including giving us a cracking Full English for every day of the stay. Absolutely no complaints.

We arrived Friday 22/09/23 and met Trevor, who promptly told us we were staying in the fetish area of Blackpool. The gated side street where we parked was the best part of the hotel. We never saw the manager all weekend. At checkout he wasn't around, so we called the number in the foyer. He told my brother-in-law he was in the bookies and said to go through the kitchen into the back yard to open the gates from inside. The rooms were horrible: dirty and smelly, damp everywhere, wallpaper peeling off, stained bedding and towels, and no hot water all weekend. The shower cubicle was too filthy to use. My sister and brother-in-law found hairs around their shower cubicle. Would not recommend.

Trevor's breakfasts are superb, and he'll cater to whatever you need. He's a real character, kept us laughing with his humour and antics, and couldn't have been more accommodating. We won't hesitate to stay again. The place has started some improvements, though it still needs a little upgrading. You won't find a warmer welcome anywhere. It's well placed for pubs and restaurants, and only a few minutes from the North Pier.
