Ivanhoe Hotel

The first night there was a strong smell of fresh smoke, maybe from the hotel next door or drifting up. It seemed to settle by the next night, so it might not be a regular issue, though our clothes smelled of it. We all slept well and were happy, and we'd stay again. The rooms were clean, the hosts welcoming, helpful and accommodating, and there was no sewer smell like you sometimes get at places on the Blackpool front. It's basic but okay, and the room had a microwave and fridge, handy with kids. The central location was good despite not being on the front. I was worried because there were no other reviews online and nearly cancelled, but in the end I'm glad we didn't. You get what you expect from Blackpool.
