Peter made the stay fun and memorable. He was always happy to help, and I felt I’d made a friend for life. We’ll be back soon after such a great experience. Ellie made booking two rooms for my family of four and my in-laws easy, and went out of her way to accommodate us. Carlton and Stacey also made us feel welcome. Our rooms were spacious, well kept and had everything we needed, and the beds were really comfortable. The hotel facilities were great too. The bar had a pool table, a kids’ toy area and very cheap drink offers. Breakfast was a delicious buffet with plenty of choice for everyone, plus unlimited free tea and coffee throughout the day. It felt like staying with family, and I’d definitely come back. Stacey and Carlton went to great lengths to make things easy for me and my family. This was a last minute decision over the bank holiday, and we were greeted by a friendly man and his partner. The room was clean, tidy and really good value. Breakfast was plentiful and amazing, and the small bar was child friendly. They even helped dry our clothes after a very long day. Stacey also took time to play with my stepson. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Thank you both for a lovely stay.

We slept well, with no noise or interruptions. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel is close to the beach. Our room was large, with plenty of complimentary items. I really enjoyed staying here and will definitely book again.

The room layout made basic things awkward. There was nowhere much to store clothes or do makeup or prepare bottles for the baby, and we had to sit at the end of the bed to watch TV. The kettle sat on a small, wobbly table and nearly fell off a couple of times. We had to clean it ourselves and buy descaler because it was in such a state. It smelled disgusting and I didn’t feel it was safe to use for my three-month-old’s bottles. The owners were hostile, so I didn’t feel comfortable raising the kettle issue. Apart from Carlton, who was helpful and provided things we needed like a travel cot, the others made us feel unwelcome and didn’t even smile or make conversation. The bunk bed was held together with wire, zip ties and duct tape. I have photos and a video showing its condition. I was constantly worried it might collapse while my four-year-old slept on it, and the mattress underneath was very uncomfortable. The location was good, within walking distance of attractions, but that was about the only other positive. We tried to spend as little time there as possible. We’d expected more from the good reviews, but this was a horrible experience that spoiled part of our holiday. I wouldn’t recommend it or return. A huge disappointment.
