When I arrived, I was told my booking was for this place next door, though I’d booked Adam & Eve. I mentioned that, and the guy got shirty and told me to take it or leave it. After seeing the room, I chose to leave and found somewhere better. The beds, decor, and smell were all awful. I can only suggest the council look into the dreadful standard of this B&B. I later heard the same guy apparently owns Casa Seashell Hotel and The Corner Hotel too. That baffles me, since I can’t imagine him filling enough rooms at these places to make the profit to buy others.

We were there as a group for the music festival. The location is central, the beds were comfortable, and people were fairly friendly. It served its purpose, and we’d use it again, though the hotel is far from clean or modern, with brown, smelly carpets. The owner or manager had a bit of an attitude and could lighten up. Also, if you don’t want people sitting on the mobility scooter, please move it.

The couple were very friendly, but there’s a lot that needs improving. Our room wasn’t clean, with mould on the walls, peeling wallpaper, and unclean sheets. Breakfast wasn’t offered, and it was hard to get any because the staff weren’t awake early enough.

Joe and Bill sorted me out quickly when I needed a room for the weekend at very short notice, and even let me check in a little early. The room did the job. Can’t ask for more from the service, and I’d recommend them if you need a cheap room booked quickly. Thanks, guys. Paul Dundee.
