Oban House Hotel

The owners have only taken over in the last couple of weeks, but it’s clear they care about the B&B and have plans for the coming months. They’ve already replaced some mattresses. The continental breakfast had lots of options and was constantly topped up. We found the area very clean and quiet, about a 15-minute walk from the centre and one short street from two tram stops. We usually stay in the centre, but this place surpassed our expectations. We had a small room, though we’ve stayed in smaller rooms in Blackpool, and there was enough space for us to move around and pass each other. We don’t spend much time in hotel rooms, so our priorities are cleanliness, a comfy bed, a hot shower and a good price. Breakfast is a bonus, and this B&B ticked all our boxes. We were greeted warmly as soon as we arrived, and couldn’t fault the stay. We’ll look to come back on our next Blackpool visit.

The guest house is handy for the illuminations, just a two-minute walk to the promenade. It’s also under ten minutes by bus from Blackpool North/North Pier, or less than 20 minutes on foot. I stayed five nights and found the service excellent. The continental breakfast was cereal, a pastry and yoghurt, which suited me. There are several single rooms with ensuite showers, giving holidaymakers their own space. I look forward to coming back.

We only stayed one night, but the two ladies were incredibly accommodating. The room was nice and breakfast was great. When we left, it felt like we’d gained two new family members. Lovely girls, and we’ll be back.

Angelo made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the continental breakfast was superb. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. We’ll be back, thank you Angelo for a wonderful time 😊
