We used to enjoy Ream Hills Holiday Park and regularly came for weekends, so we chose to take a seasonal pitch. Sadly, being seasonal guests turned into an extremely disappointing and stressful experience. We first brought our caravan for the second half of the 2025 season. The electric kept tripping, and we were told the fault must be our caravan. It later became clear that wasn't the case. The pitch was sloped too, which made it difficult to use the awning. For the 2026/27 season, we asked to move to a flatter pitch with more grass for our dog and baby. The move was agreed, but the new pitch didn't work for us. Its water tap ended up inside our awning, and we were told it couldn't be moved. Instead, we were asked to move the awning so the tap would be outside and visible. The way management communicated felt rude, dismissive and heavy-handed to me. We received repeated emails about the pitch rules, furniture, parking, fencing, the tap and boundaries. We were told to consider other arrangements if the rules didn't suit us, and later offered a pro-rata refund if we left the pitch. It made us feel pushed out rather than supported. I had explained that I was grieving the sudden loss of my father-in-law and caring for a newborn, and that moving the caravan and awning would be difficult without help. The response felt cold and dismissive rather than understanding. We also felt singled out unfairly. We photographed other seasonal pitches with what appeared to be furniture, planters, awnings and other items outside, as well as grassed areas in use and layouts that didn't seem to follow the same strict rules applied to us. We were repeatedly told to move things, hide items away and stay within very tight boundaries, while other pitches seemed to have much more leeway. I was also accused of calling an out-of-hours emergency number, which I hadn't done and didn't even have. The pitch allocation seemed impractical and contradictory too. We chose not to use the parking space for our car so we could place the caravan and awning to leave usable grass for our dog and baby, especially since we'd asked about fencing. But when the manager marked out the pitch, we were told our area ended just beyond the pitch 28 sign, leaving virtually no room for a fence or usable grass. The site's own guidance showed a car, caravan and awning layout which, if followed, would apparently have put us outside our allocated area anyway. Eventually the situation became so upsetting that we left the pitch. We left on time, clean and with no rubbish, as promised. The park itself is quiet and conveniently located, which makes the experience all the more disappointing. Based on our stay, I found the approach to seasonal guests poor, inconsistent and unnecessarily stressful. I wouldn't recommend taking a seasonal pitch here.

The weather wasn't on our side for the bank holiday family getaway, but we still enjoyed the weekend. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the touring park was well kept, quiet and family friendly, just what we wanted. The facilities were spotless the whole time. We'll be back soon.

I stayed here about 10 times between February 2024 and August 2025, usually on my own with my two autistic children, who especially loved the hot tub. I generally felt safe and comfortable on those visits, which mattered as a parent travelling alone. Staff could be very friendly or less so, but I didn't let that affect our stays. On my last visit, the hot tub wouldn't start. Staff came to look and tried to fix it by taking off the dashboard, but couldn't resolve it, so I left early on Sunday because it was unusable. I first got an apology by email, then was unexpectedly told my children had broken the dashboard, which didn't make sense to me since staff had been working on it. I was also told that I leave the accommodation messy. That upset and surprised me, as I always try to leave it clean, run the dishwasher, empty the bins and tidy up before leaving. The WiFi never worked on any of my stays. And despite the comments about cleanliness, we often ended up with black feet from walking on the floors. I did enjoy staying here, but for the price, you can find similar quality accommodation elsewhere for much less.

There was so much space for all 17 of us, even with eight children in the group. The games room kept them happy, and we barely saw or heard them! We had a brilliant New Year stay at this beautiful farmhouse. The large grounds, hot tub, kitchen diner, two lounges, six bedrooms, two ensuites and big bathroom were all fantastic. We had a wonderful time and will be back. ❤️

We had a lovely winter stay in the Greywolf logged cabin, the largest one, which sleeps up to 16. The lake views were stunning, it was peaceful, and there was space right beside the cabin for all 7-8 of our vehicles. Inside, the communal areas gave us room to eat, relax, sing and dance together, and the two large deck hot tubs looked out over the lake. Each of the four upstairs bedrooms has its own ensuite and balcony, plus there’s a shared balcony with a beautiful view. The cabin was clean when we arrived. The main downside was a sewage smell in the bathrooms, especially the four toilets downstairs. It was less noticeable upstairs. We planned our own activities for winter, though in summer it’d be great to try the water sports. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it. 😊
