Residency hotel and Bar

I'd strongly advise staying somewhere else. We only ended up here because it was so late when we arrived, and we hadn't booked. It had been booked on our behalf because the reviews looked good. We were put in room 3, a small double with a chair. At the hotel, we were directed through the entrance next door. They told us to photograph the code for our door so we could get back in later. On the way through the bar area to our part of the hotel, there was a distinct smell of funny cigarette use. The room had a digital keypad. Lots of people have taken photos of the code, which doesn't seem very secure. We got into the room at 2330 and just stood there in shock. There was one heavily stained towel on the bed for two people. The bathroom had a shower, toilet and sink, but no toilet roll. Maybe you're meant to use the tatty curtain. I can't say how the shower was because I wasn't going to undress and let any part of my skin touch the surfaces. I thought I'd put up with it until morning and watch some TV, but there were two remotes and neither worked. My wife and I couldn't even share a cup of tea. The one cup didn't look clean. At midnight, while I write this, some very noisy people are outside our room. Maybe we should have bunked in with the homeless person in the tent outside near the carpark. I bet that would've been more comfortable.

The first room had a leak in the bathroom. They moved us to another room, which was slightly better, but it was still dirty and grubby, and there were no towels. My partner didn't feel comfortable and insisted we leave. We asked for a refund but were refused. I can honestly say this is potentially the most disgusting place I've ever stayed.

We didn't stay and left. The room was freezing, there was no heating, stains on the carpets and no towels. Mattresses had been left behind and at the side of the building. Reception didn't ask who was in the room in case of an emergency. The receptionist said all the keys had been lost, then told residents to photograph a card with the room password on it. That password never changes, which is a security risk. I had 2 young children with me, and the place is verging on negligence.

There was no bedding on the beds when we arrived, dust everywhere, and no towels. The room hadn't been cleaned. It felt like a youth hostel, with people smoking drugs in the corridors, partying all night and loud music playing through the night. At 9 in the morning, a woman who was blind drunk tried to walk into my room where both my children were, then urinated on the floor outside my door. One guy was running the whole hotel while the guests ran rings around him. I asked Booking.com for a refund, but the hotel won't accept my request, so I can't get my money back. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Please don't take your children here. I made that mistake because the reviews seemed OK. If there were less than 1 star, I'd click that.
