The room itself was clean, and the heating worked well. Still, the place didn’t feel especially welcoming to me, a bit like old, spooky student halls. We had a double room facing the main road with a shared bathroom, and the traffic, music from the bar next door and people shouting outside kept me from sleeping well, even with the double glazing.

Matt and his team are lovely hosts, and they even offered to hold our bags on the last day, which we really appreciated. The Tropics Hotel is well placed for Blackpool North and offers a good standard of stay for a great price. I’ve been to Blackpool three times in 2024, most recently with friends, and this is my usual choice. Five stars from me. I’ll be booking again soon and would recommend it to anyone visiting Blackpool North. 😊

We were only there for one night for a friend’s birthday and Funny Girls, and the location made it so easy. It’s about five minutes from Blackpool North station, right by the main promenade and the Tower, Dungeon and Tussauds. We were welcomed by a friendly, chatty woman who explained everything, gave us the keys and showed us our room. We could check in early, drop our bags and head out, which was great. The room was small and basic, but clean and tidy, and had what we needed. For the price and the reason we were there, we were very happy. We’d gladly stay again. 😊

We paid €107 each for three nights, and it was great value. The hotel was clean and close to Blackpool North, with the lights and everything else just four minutes away. We had room only and the three of us were there for nights out at Funny Girls and ma kellys. Exactly what we expected. We’ll be back.

The hostess was so helpful. Our room was ready even though we arrived early, and she let us check in ahead of time. It was clean, cozy and smelled lovely. I’d definitely come back and recommend it.
