Sienna Holiday Apartments

We stayed in apartments 1 and 2, and both were clean with everything needed for making food or just having a cup of tea after a day out. The bedding and towels were clean as well. They're close to the seafront and to the Waterloo Road shops, so we could get supplies without going to the main shopping centre. Apartment 2 upstairs was comfortable, and we couldn't hear the apartment underneath. Apartment 1 has useful rear wheelchair access, though its door only unlocked from inside. It might help if the owners could provide a key for that door when needed.

We enjoyed our Blackpool visit enough to extend it, but our first accommodation had been amazing and the next place was fully booked, so that may have affected how this one felt. We booked the three-bedroom apartment at short notice for three nights. It cost a bit, but seemed reasonable for three adults and two teenagers. There were some genuine pluses: it was spacious, with three bedrooms and a sofa bed, a well-equipped kitchen, free Wi-Fi, spotless made-up beds, and access codes for security. The location just off the Promenade between Central and South Piers was good, the area was quiet with other holidaymakers around, a well-stocked shop was close, and there was guest parking, including a marked disabled bay, right outside. There was also a small garden at the back for guests. The arrival was a letdown, with piles of dirty laundry inside. We hadn't been told before booking about the £100 deposit, so being asked for it was frustrating. There was an unpleasant smell that eased somewhat after airing the flat, and the views weren't nice. The lounge TV was small and basic, the bedroom TV didn't work, and the decor was dated. Cleanliness was a concern, especially mould in the bathroom and the need for a thorough clean. Mobility could also be difficult because there are stairs both inside and outside. We still made the best of the stay and enjoyed the good points.

We’ve stayed here twice now and will definitely return. The apartments are excellent for the price and very well placed for seeing everything Blackpool has to offer. On this visit, they even gave us an extra apartment because one was vacant during our dates. I can’t fault the place and would recommend it to anyone planning a family break at the resort.

We had a great weekend and enjoyed sitting in the sunny back garden. The apartment was lovely and clean, and handy for the seafront. The only thing my wife missed was having a chair in the bedroom.
