St Kildas, Blackpool Central

Please be careful. We were moved from this hotel to another one, also only 2*. The email still welcomed us to a completely different room in a different place. It looked like a scam to us and ruined our first visit to Blackpool. I wouldn't recommend it unless you don't care where you spend time with your family.

We booked here as a family, but were relocated and had to ring several times just to find out where we'd be staying. We were told we'd been put in two different hotels, which we didn't want. We tried to get a refund for one room so we could all stay together, meaning more people ended up in one room than we'd originally planned. There was no hot water in the room we were moved to. When we asked staff about it, it didn't come through until the morning we had to leave. Don't book unless you don't mind where you end up, or possibly getting a lower grade than you expected.

They called on the day I was due to arrive and said there were no rooms available. I followed their instruction to request a refund through Booking.com, but it was rejected. Every time I called, they gave me another number. They said they couldn't help, and I was left stranded during Blackpool's busiest time, £200 out of pocket with nowhere else available. Don't book here.

The hotel wasn't open when we called the number on the day. They said they could find us a room at a sister hotel, but there were no rooms. We were told the full amount would be refunded to my account straight away so we could book somewhere else, but no refund has come through. The hotel and staff are disgusting. They're taking people's money.
