Stafford House

We only booked a couple of months ahead, so I thought finding a room might be difficult and we’d have to compromise. That wasn’t the case at all. Even while sorting out a last-minute change, Carol went out of her way to help us. The tram stop at the end of the road is handy if walking’s difficult, and the place is far enough from the town noise for a quieter evening. We’ve just got back from two nights and will definitely return. Thanks, Carol and Rod.

It’s so peaceful here, a lovely place to unwind and feel at home. Stafford House Hotel is close to the beach, shops and takeaways, with plenty nearby. The owners are friendly, the rooms are very clean and well kept, and the prices are reasonable. I loved staying here and will be back. It’s my little escape. Five out of five from me.

Carol was really welcoming when we arrived late Friday for my girls’ dance show on Saturday. She let us keep the room until 1pm on our last day. A friend wasn’t happy where she was staying, and although Carol had no room free herself, she helped us look and came up with at least three or four other places to try. The room was clean and tidy, and had a homely feel. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We turned up without booking and got a good price. They’d just had someone leave, so they got our room ready as quickly as they could. It was clean, neat and had everything we needed, and they kept checking whether we were alright. The gentleman played board games with the kids, and I had a few drinks with the lady one evening. We got on so well. Such a family friendly place, and two lovely people. We’ve got their number and will keep in touch. We’d definitely stay again. From Olive, Luke, Evie-Mae and little Luke.
