The Glyndale

I’ve been visiting Blackpool for 30 years and found this hotel through a friend. It’s by far the cleanest and friendliest one I’ve stayed in. It’s family-run, and the breakfast and the coffee machine in the rooms are lovely. Definitely 5 stars 🌟

I booked a sea-view room, which was comfortable, clean and affordable. The location is great, just off the prom and within a short walk of most things. The staff were really friendly. I’ll book again next year and probably wouldn’t stay anywhere else now. Definitely good value for money.

The games room has pool, darts, cards, chess, dominoes and toys and games for kids, and the bar is really comfortable, with drinks much cheaper than London prices. Breakfast is 5-star quality, with plenty of choice and generous portions. The rooms are very clean every day, with fresh towels, lots of tea and coffee, a fitted hairdryer and great sea views. The hotel is centrally located, and the managers, Steve and Tracey, are amazing hosts. They’re warm, friendly and caring, and run the hotel professionally while making it feel like a home from home, without any work. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I highly recommend staying at The Glyndale Private Hotel.

The photos of the glyndale Hotel online must be old. When I arrived, the building was dark, and the place smelled of grease inside. We were asked to wait in a room that was supposed to be the bar, but it had far too much furniture and didn’t feel welcoming. The room we were shown was dirty, with Artex hanging from the ceiling. Given how dated it was, I wondered if it might contain asbestos. The shower had what I assume was black sealant splashed all over the basement. I had to book another hotel and couldn’t get a refund. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. False advertising.
