The sheets were clean, and that was about the only thing in our room. It was bare, with just a bed, two thin pillows and a thin duvet. There was no mirror, the sink had only one working cold tap, and the plug socket didn't work. The walls were paper-thin, though luckily the other guests were quiet. We could hear normal conversations in the hallway. This is as low-budget as it gets, but it was dire compared with our friends' cheap rooms at other hotels that weekend. The owner had seven other properties, and we weren't even placed in the hotel we booked because there was a stag group there. The whole place was filthy, with terrible decor and grimy carpets. If all you want is a basic cheap bed for the night, that's what you'll get.

We booked a double room at the Adam and Eve hotel three weeks before arriving, but were told there wasn't one when we got there. They tried to put us in a bunk-bed room, which we didn't want, so we ended up at the Hangover hotel. It was the most disgusting place I've ever stayed. The sink was cracked and glued together, the cold tap didn't work, and the room was boiling because the radiator was always on. There was no TV, kettle or towels. Need I go on? Disgraceful.

For the price, it was a clean and tidy B&B, and a friendly staff member or owner showed us to our room. We stayed Friday to Sunday, me, my partner and our two kids, and it worked out at only £7 each. It's a cheap place to sleep with a hot shower in the morning, so don't expect the Hilton. We did have a problem with the room next door. Four lads came in at 2 in the morning, banging and shouting. I asked them to keep it down because our kids were in the other room, but nothing changed. The next morning the badge was missing from my car, and my 10-year-old daughter came out of her room to see a man walking down the landing with absolutely nothing on. That was down to the guests staying there, not the B&B owners.

Joe, the owner, is a welcoming, funny local guy. The place is really close to the seaside and all the fun stuff, and the Wi-Fi and facilities work fine. It's small and dirty, but fun. You get what you pay for :D

The windows were propped open with sticks, the sinks didn't work, and there were used condoms on the floor. Absolutely disgusting. This place needs shutting down. I wouldn't give a room here to a homeless person. I can't understand how these people can call themselves business owners or hotel runners in Blackpool.
