The room was simple, spotless, and had an en suite shower and toilet. There was a small TV. Staff were amazing, friendly, and quick to help with extra towels or tea condiments. The reception felt cosy and welcoming, with photos and memorabilia on the walls that made it feel full of memories. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious, generous, and not greasy or heavy. They kept bringing toast and tea, which was lovely. The breakfast in the photo was my requested plate, as the original offer was far too big: tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread, egg, beans, sausage, black pudding, and toast. There were cereals, jams, orange juice, and apple too. It's about a 10 minute walk to the seafront, right by the old tram station, with a Home Bargains across the road. At night, there was no unusual noise, just normal things like fans. It really was a happy stay. Highly recommend, and I can't wait to return.

The staff were cheerful, welcoming, and so pleasant, and they were happy to help with anything. The room was basic but had what we needed, and it was very clean. Comfortable bed and decent pillows. Breakfast was absolutely brilliant. The place is close to everything, and the tram costs only £10 for two people for the whole day. We'd definitely stay again.

Sylvia and her staff couldn't have done more for us. We came for the Blackpool football tournament and couldn't fault a thing. The room was clean and spacious, and the beds were really comfortable. Lovely breakfast with loads of choice. The bar was good for the kids too, with a TV and pool table. We'd definitely stay again! HPK

We found this lovely little hotel after being left stranded at 8pm on a Friday. We'd come from London for a tribute band festival at Winter Gardens and had cancelled our original booking at Wilson Hotel because it was a bombsite and filthy, see their review page. This place was what you'd expect from a "nice" Blackpool hotel, with narrow stairs and smaller rooms, but still nice. It was spotless, and the staff were very friendly. My son and I played pool the first night, drinks at the bar were reasonably priced, and they gave us plates and cutlery for our takeaway. Definitely recommend, and it was a very welcoming stay. One small gripe: try to be on time for breakfast. We were late one day, entirely our fault after going out the night before, and I think our breakfasts had been reheated, so they weren't great. The previous two mornings, though, breakfast was cooked fresh, with a lovely full English, plenty of toast and fruit juice, and friendly service from the girls.

We came during WDSF 2026 at Blackpool after several accommodation searches that were hit and miss. From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt cosy and warm. Our room was clean and nice, with basic amenities and tea and coffee. It's within walking distance of the promenade and attractions, a real diamond in the rough. Sylvia and her team of gracious ladies were the best part. They looked after us from breakfast through to our unusual vegan needs as well as the sumptuous full English. Thanks to everyone at Hopton for making the trip memorable. You even gave us extra checkout time on a wet and windy day, and won our hearts. Thank you so much. We look forward to coming back to Blackpool. ❤️💐🙏
