The Norwood

The room had everything we needed and was spotless. We were greeted with birthday banners outside and inside the room, plus a card, which was such a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was wonderful, and the location made it easy to reach the local attractions. The Christmas decorations and warm welcome made us feel at home as soon as we arrived, and Reggie, the hosts' friendly cocker spaniel, was a lovely bonus. We couldn't fault our stay at The Norwood and will definitely return.

Vince and Sharon really looked after us and were so easy to get along with. The cosy lounge and bar were welcoming, the hotel looks fantastic after its refurbishment, and the breakfasts were great. Bar prices were reasonable too. I've stayed here many times over the years and it has always felt like a home from home. It's now under new ownership, and Vince and Sharon have done a fantastic job with the refurbishment. When I needed something pink for a charity event one evening, Sharon even let me borrow one of her jackets.

I booked this hotel for three men travelling abroad for the Matchplay darts, and was able to make bookings on three separate occasions. Then, a month or so later, I was told to cancel because of a “same-sex” policy. That seems very unfair. We'll find somewhere more welcoming and accommodating for our trip to Blackpool.

We had a great weekend here with the kids and will be back. The couple running this lovely B&B were so nice, and the place was very child friendly. Our room had everything we needed, the breakfast was superb, and the attractions were within easy walking distance.
