The Wilton Hotel

The owner offered to get up before breakfast time and make me breakfast because I had to leave early. That was really kind. I was warmly welcomed, and for what you get, I thought the prices were far too cheap. Excellent value, and I'd highly recommend it.

We had a brilliant three-night stay and can't wait to come back. Chris and Brian were excellent hosts, and their knowledge of Blackpool made things easier. We were with friends and booked two double rooms. Both had good shower pressure, so ignore the earlier complaints about it. Our room was spacious, warm and comfortable, and breakfast was good quality. Secure parking was available at no extra cost. It felt like home. The hotel is a lot for a couple to run, but they did a great job. One small thing, Chris, could you lower the ensuite mirror? I had to stand on tiptoe to shave. The location was really convenient, close to the Promenade and easy to get around on foot. Good value for money, and the customer service was very good. I did have a problem with my room, but they sorted it quickly and efficiently.

Room 12 was huge, nicely decorated and had an ensuite. We stayed two nights with our five-year-old daughter, and the parking felt more secure than at the other hotels we saw. The location was spot on: just off the promenade, so it was quiet in the evenings, with Pleasure beach one way and the Tower the other. The nearest tram stop was only a two-minute walk. Breakfast was cooked to order, piping hot, and kept us going until dinner. Josh was a lovely, attentive and caring host. High chairs and travel cots were available, though we didn't need them. We'd definitely stay again when we're in Blackpool.
