The room was tidy and really clean, and the fresh smell of the bedding hit us as soon as we walked in. We came for a weekend with our two kids and my wife to see family, and the owners were kind and caring whenever we needed help. The beach is only a few minutes away, with a shop just around the corner. Parking cost me £10, which is cheap compared with nearby car parks. We’ll book here again. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

The place was clean, warm and comfortable, and I appreciated that the owner managed to fit in my late request for another night after a cancellation came up. I paid the same room rate as the first night, plus £10 for parking. Booking.com lists parking as free, so bear that in mind, even though he did say my first night’s parking was free, lol. Breakfast is continental unless the chef comes back. I’d initially booked one night and had to move rooms for the second.

We had a good stay and would come back. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were clean and smelled fresh. The owner and staff were polite. The one problem was the hot water: we could fill the bathtub with hot water just once. After that, the tap ran cold, so we had to use the electric shower to fill the tub, which took ages. They need to get the hot water running steadily.

If you’re after somewhere cheap and cheerful, it does the job. The rooms really need a major makeover, though, and some guests were still making quite a bit of noise around midnight despite the poster about quiet hours.
