The two staff members were so helpful, and even brought complimentary ice creams for my two granddaughters. We were really happy with our evening out. From booking a table to eating, everything went smoothly: the food selection was great, all 15 plates arrived together, and the food was excellent. I’d definitely recommend the Seymour Arms if you’re staying nearby.

The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable, with a powerful shower. The food was simple but tasty, well cooked and good value, and the location was good. A few things bothered us: a bright green ceiling light stayed on all night, there was no bin in the room, and the pub music was loud. This was the most expensive place we stayed on our five-day Mendips walking tour. The pub seemed to be under new management and was quiet for a Friday night. Blagdon residents, support your local pub if you want it to stay open!

The owner cooked us a lovely English breakfast, though the tea wasn’t to my taste. We were the only couple there that Monday morning, 7th of May, after a wedding. It’s a nice little B&B with a car park at the back and a nice room, but the shower walls and shower heads in the bathroom needed attention. All in all, it was great.

We were a group of about 15, but the food still came out warm, tasty and well timed. The staff were friendly and helpful too. A lovely meal, and I’d definitely recommend it if you need somewhere to eat the day before a nearby wedding.

After a lovely walk in the Mendips, we stopped at this quiet pub. The staff were lovely, and the roast dinner was exceptionally good. Great beer, great food and a great location. Many thanks to the staff.
