I’m usually too lazy to leave reviews, but this hotel and restaurant deserve one. The food was first class, fresh and well seasoned, and I highly recommend it. The room and bathroom were very clean, and I enjoyed using them.

The breakfast service was superb, and the food from the varied menu was just as good. When their restaurant wasn’t serving, they were happy for us to bring takeaway into the lounge, which was a nice way to support neighbouring businesses. The hotel was clean and warm, with lovely decor that seemed recently done.

We were in Alyth for a family party, so the hotel’s location worked perfectly for us. The room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable and the shower powerful. Breakfast service was terrible, though. The waitress seemed in a world of her own, taking an order from one table, bringing it to the kitchen, waiting for that food to be cooked and serving it before taking another order. Nobody offered coffee, toast, milk or sugar. It definitely affected our view of the hotel.

The restaurant was a highlight, with some of the most delicious food I’ve tasted in a long time. Breakfast was great too, and the staff were superb. I loved the recently refurbished room, with its great style and super comfy bed. A fantastic stay, and I’d definitely return, especially for the restaurant.

There’s an easy view of the stream running through the town, and parking on the road outside the hotel is straightforward. A lovely place to stay, with friendly staff, good customer service and bar food. The breakfasts were very enjoyable.
