Good showers and sinks, and there’s a so-so radiator. The rooms are clean, the menu is nice, and the staff are lovely. Lots of shops are right nearby, along with a restaurant and a KFC.

Our room was a fair size, and the hotel is clean, reasonably priced, and in a good spot. There’s no restaurant on site, though you can walk to others nearby. It’s convenient for the road network and has free parking.

The parking spaces are tiny, and vans were blocking them. Outside the front door, the ground is basically one big ashtray, with nowhere to sit. The security lights were broken, and the soap dispensers were empty or broken.

There are no breakfast or restaurant facilities here, but there’s a KFC next door and a pub just around the corner. The location is handy, about a 15 minute walk to the Metro Centre and a short drive into Newcastle centre. The rooms are a little dated and only average, though they were clean.

Reception was lovely, both ladies we saw. The room itself was fine, but the mattress was very hard. The bathroom needed a proper clean: the grout around the bath was black, and the bottom inch or so of the shower curtain was black all over.
