I've stayed at Llanhydrock for several years while working at the Royal Cornwall Show each June. The staff do everything they can to make the stay pleasant and hassle free, and they're very helpful about fitting around the demanding hours of the County Show. Their flexibility with restaurant bookings was much appreciated. It's a beautiful, peaceful location, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The food was wholesome and delicious. I'd highly recommend it for business or pleasure.

The Cornish breakfast was fantastic, and the bar stays open all night for those who enjoy a drink. We had a pleasant one-night stay at Lanhydrock Hotel in Cornwall over Easter 2026. The price was reasonable, and our room was clean and tidy, although some things weren't brand new. There was a lovely view of the golf course from the window. If you're driving and want somewhere quiet, clean and budget friendly in Cornwall, I'd recommend it.

The food and service were excellent, and reception was very helpful. It's a very good hotel, though it seemed mainly aimed at golfers. We weren't allowed to walk around the grounds because of the risk of being hit by a golf ball, so there was nowhere to take a walk. The beds in our room were the most uncomfortable we've ever slept in.

The staff's attitude and service at the golf course today were very poor. They told a new player he didn't belong there, stared at him and belittled him until he left. He'd said he was slow, and they told him to come on a quiet day. I thought anyone with the ability to play was welcome. So much for equal rights. Absolutely disgusting!

We had a lovely room overlooking a great golf course, with panoramic views. A brilliant place to stay.
