After a long day, we couldn’t find a table at any of the busy local restaurants. Our host went out of their way to book us a table for three at The Kings Arms, where the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were just as welcoming. We arrived very late in the evening and were greeted so politely by the loveliest couple, who made us feel at home. Netflix was there for catching up on a series or keeping the kids entertained. Treganoon House B&B is a hidden gem, a peaceful and cosy farmhouse surrounded by nature. For comfort, hospitality and a countryside escape, it’s second to none. We’ll definitely return!

We stayed here last year and will definitely be back. The hosts were amazing, and breakfast with them felt like being at home. The boys loved going out to feed the pigs and chickens in the morning. The homemade bread and jam were to die for, and my son loved the jam so much that they gave him a jar to take home. Such a beautiful place.

Our room was brand new, with stunning views and just what we needed to unwind. The building is in a quiet part of the country, with excellent-quality work already done and more happening in separate areas. It had a lovely homely feel, and we were offered anything we needed and given great local knowledge. There’s a free house within walking distance with outstanding food, and driving distances to everywhere were good, making this a nice base. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

If you want a quiet location, this may suit you, but be aware it’s in the countryside, reached by Cornwall’s single-track roads. We booked four nights; Kevin and Sara were welcoming, but the room was basic, with outdated, mismatched furniture. The shower pressure was low, and the bed was far too soft and uncomfortable. The TV signal didn’t work, so Sara connected us to Wi-Fi, which was terrible. The buffering wheel kept coming up, and we eventually gave up and tried to sleep. We were so tired from our busy activity schedule that we could have slept on the floor by the time we got back. My wife found clothes left by a previous guest and we told Sara. Because of COVID restrictions there was no breakfast, and they charge £1 for milk if you bring your own cereal.

A beautiful family-run project, carefully restored and thoughtfully planned. The family are lovely, interesting and interested. The area is stunning, with good walks, and we enjoyed the comfortable stay and great breakfasts.
