Applewood Hotel

We were only in town for one night on a trip along the south coast, and the hotel was a short walk from the jazz at the pier. It had real character in a holiday town that otherwise felt short on it. The place was stylish, comfortable and very well looked after, unlike many other spots around Bournemouth that seemed poorly maintained. Staff were hospitable, and the price was very affordable. Our room was spacious, the bed comfy and the bathroom modern. The generous light breakfast was cooked on the spot. Very pleased!

The standard double was on the small side, but it was laid out cleverly and had everything we needed. The hotel has lovely quirky decor, and the beach, pier and centre are an easy stroll away. Free parking was a brilliant bonus. We had a lovely time and will definitely return ❤️

Everything was within easy walking distance, from shops, bars and restaurants to the beach. The owners gave us a warm welcome and were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about places to eat and visit. Our room was clean, tidy and a good size, with a comfy bed and complimentary tea, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and towels. Free, secure parking at the front was handy, and access to the hotel was limited to residents, which felt like a good safety feature. I’d stay again.

We had a wonderful few days in Bournemouth and will definitely come back to The Applewood Hotel. We stayed from 7-10 August for a mix of business and to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. The boutique style and tasteful decor made it feel lovely and homely, and the warm hospitality from Jenna and the proprietors, Tien and Charlene, made the trip even more memorable. They were all incredibly welcoming and knew the area well. The hotel offered free guest parking and was always fresh, clean and tidy. Housekeeping did an amazing job. Kudos!
