Boho Beach House

We booked La Di Da Hotel, but the host moved us to Boho Beach House, saying La Di Da Hotel was occupied by a large group of men. We had no advance notice and no choice about the change. Right from the start, we felt disrespected. The host said the kitchen “closes” at 9 PM, but didn't tell us that we'd have no access to it at all after then. Eating in our room wasn't allowed, so it was our only place to have food. My husband has diabetes and needs small portions often. When we went downstairs after 9 PM, the kitchen was locked. When we asked to get to our food, the host became angry and behaved in a completely unprofessional way. When we said we were from Romania on arrival, she made an ironic, offensive comment implying I was “a gypsy” because I am brunette. That racist, discriminatory attitude was unacceptable. The next morning, we got a message telling us to leave by 10 AM, despite having paid for another night. We were also threatened with a £20 per hour charge if we stayed past 10 AM. Our chargers, left plugged in, weren't returned either. At first the host said she'd check the cameras, then later admitted there were no cameras. Our holiday turned into a nightmare. We felt disrespected and discriminated against, were threatened with extra charges, and were practically kicked out before our stay was over. I absolutely don't recommend this property. The way the host treats guests is far from hospitality, and I hope nobody else has to go through anything similar.

We only stayed one night, but this place felt like a home away from home. It would be perfect for a big family or group, and I highly recommend it. We'll definitely come back for longer. Give the Boho a bash next time you're in Bournemouth!!

There's no hot water in the shower, which was the one downside. Luckily, Channine had a spare room with working water, so we could use that shower, and it was bliss. The house itself is gorgeous, warm, and very quiet, with beautiful things all around that make it feel homely and quirky. The bed was too soft for my preference, as I like a firmer mattress, but my son and I both slept really well.

Chanine was kind and easy to reach, and the shared kitchen turned out to be a welcome extra. My room was quiet, clean, and nicely decorated. The nicest beaches are about a 10-minute walk away. I had a really pleasant stay for the price and would recommend it. Hope I can come back.
