No lift, so getting to an upper floor means a lot of tiring trips up and down. The bathroom is narrow too, something to keep in mind if you’re overweight, though it was okay for me. The location is very convenient, right by the beach, rides and plenty of restaurants, and I thought the price was reasonable. Our spacious family room was kept very clean, with fresh towels and bins replaced every day. I’d still recommend it.

We stayed here last year and the standards have dropped a lot. The small double felt like a single, with hardly any room to move without getting in each other’s way. The bed was okay and the linen clean, but there was dust on the ledges and stains on the carpet. The shower looked old and dirty, with a chipped, yellow tray; its door wouldn’t close, so water ended up on the floor. The pressure was terrible, and the space was so cramped that turning around meant hitting the handle and getting blasted with hot water. Very disappointing.

The location was spot on for our stag do, just two minutes from the beach and a 15-minute walk to the bars and clubs. My room was fine, though some of the others had problems like weak showers. Breakfast was fine and suited us. You get what you pay for.

We booked a last-minute one-night birthday stay for a couple through hotels.com. The room matched its description, and the hotel is within walking distance of both the city centre and the beach. I’d asked the owner about having a card and prosecco ready, but the extra £40 seemed too expensive, so I left it. Still, when we got to the room, there were two small bottles of wine and a printed happy birthday card. They really went the extra mile for that. Thank you, Capital one 😊. We were also glad we paid £10 extra to leave the car in their car park the whole next day, since all the nearby car parks were full and we could enjoy our time at the beach.

We had a lot of fun here, and the staff were helpful and ready to assist. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortably solid. It’s a three-star hotel in a great spot, close to the sandy beach, Odeon and Conference Center. Thank you!
