It looked clean at first, but after about 15 minutes in the room I noticed lots of thick spider webs and quite a few different spiders, both alive and dead, including a big one by the TV. I went downstairs, got the Henry hoover and vacuumed the room myself. I understand older buildings can have these issues, but the webs were all over the windows and around the room. It can't have had a deep clean in weeks.

The outdoor seating area is lovely, and the bar area looks great and cosy after being recently painted. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Kate was warm, welcoming and personable, and it was lovely to meet some of the locals too. Highly recommend for a little getaway. They also have lots of events and pop-up food businesses throughout the months. 10/10!

Blakesley is a very pretty village, with a well-stocked shop and post office that has long opening hours. The pub itself is inviting and clean, and nothing was too much bother. We had a lovely welcome from the host and locals, and the room was airy with a comfy bed and all the usual amenities. It's a great base for local attractions like Silverstone and Towcester. We'll definitely stay again.

After a lovely night at the pub, I had some significant health issues. Katie was very supportive throughout, and I can't thank her enough. Lovely pub, good drinks and very supportive staff.

I stopped in for a pint after looking at a house in the village. It has that proper British village pub feel, with a locals' pub vibe, but everyone was really nice. I'd go back for a few more beers.
