Park Inn by Radisson Bournemouth

The staff really made the stay better. Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially the very nice woman at reception and the bar guy, who was great to talk to. The reception guy moved me from room 116, where the shower cubicle was the tiniest I’ve ever used, to room 112, which had a perfect shower. Thanks for sorting that out. I stayed on my own for two evenings. It’s an old place, so there were bangs and creaky floors at night, but it was very clean and worth staying at. It is what it says, a 3-star hotel. The beach being close by was the only good thing about this hotel. The room smelled funny, the bathroom was so small my partner and I couldn’t both fit, and the shower was stuck on boiling hot. The walls were thin enough that we heard every word from next door, and we could hear people walking on the creaky floor above. There was hair on the towels, the curtains were filthy, and I found a fingernail in the bed. We stayed one night and won’t be coming back. Don’t waste your money or be taken in by the other reviews.

The beach is an easy walk away, and the town is close too. There’s also a nice bar with reasonable prices. Our room was very clean, and whenever we had a problem it was dealt with straight away. It was a bit cold, though that was my fault for not working out the heating. The staff were outstanding, especially the lovely man at reception. I was absolutely delighted with the stay, the price was very reasonable, and it’s the best hotel I’ve stayed at. I’d recommend it without hesitation.
