The La Di Da Hotel

We booked a family holiday at La Di Da apartments earlier this year, relying on the attractive online photos and a few positive reviews that, in hindsight, seemed fake. It turned out to be a huge mistake. Instead of what we expected, we were moved to a lower-ground-floor accommodation that was dark, dingy, and dilapidated. My children hurt themselves trying to get around the property. We complained to Booking.com, where we had booked, but got no response. We eventually left in the middle of the holiday and had to book somewhere else at great expense. Booking.com should be ashamed of advertising this place. In my view, the site is complicit in this shambolic set-up and should be called Crooked.com. La Di Da apartments should be reported to the police as an unscrupulous vendor, and its licence revoked. Avoid it. It isn’t fit for purpose. Postscript: Today, 7 Dec 2025, La Di Da finally replied to my review with this terse message: “Your name has never checked in, not on our register.” My response: La Di Da Hotel, please see my wife’s booking details below. We also emailed them to Booking.com on Monday 25 August, along with photos of the substandard accommodation, the day we left after a weekend from hell. It further underlines the kind of unscrupulous business you run. I have little to no hope of getting back the money we paid, but I hope this review keeps other unsuspecting holidaymakers from falling into your trap. You deserve to be investigated and shut down.

The hosts were so kind and easygoing, and the place itself is gorgeous. I love how roomy it is, with a lovely kitchen and a lush garden, all in this homely, quirky style. I’ve only just arrived, so I haven’t even stayed yet, but I’m already telling people about this hidden gem. I’ll be back!

We had a family room for five and a shared kitchen, but the bathroom was just for us. The beach is about a seven-minute walk away, with shops and the high street nearby. Parking at West Hill car park cost £12 a day. The lady in charge was lovely and very sweet.

I’ve now received a response calling my review “fake,” but it’s completely genuine. I’d appreciate a prompt, transparent resolution and the refunds we’re owed.
