The Ravensbourne Hotel

My two children and I have just got back, and we’d definitely stay again. The host was welcoming and helpful, and my daughters loved the room. The shops and beach are really close. We had a little look at the garden pond, which was lovely, and my youngest asked if we could live there 😊

There’s a peaceful zen garden at the back, and the place feels comfortable and is well equipped. It has a traditional seaside character, with a quirky, retro style, though the decor could use a facelift. The rooms don’t have en-suites, but the lovely bathroom was right next door. No breakfast is served, though there’s a well-equipped kitchenette. The welcome was very warm, and I’d stay again. The WiFi definitely needs to be faster. Maybe the old dining room could be put to better use with comfortable seating and somewhere to eat our own food.

We came with my husband and found the location great, very close to the beach and pier. The room was lovely, and the whole place was clean and tidy. The lady and gentleman who manage the hotel were so kind and welcoming. The showers were neat, with timed warm water. I’d absolutely recommend it, including the breakfast, and we’ll definitely come back when we visit Bournemouth :)

The staff were friendly, attentive and always there if I had a question or request. Their genuine care gave the stay a personal touch. At Ravensburne hotel, the cosy atmosphere made me feel at home, and the room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable, and there were thoughtful amenities and soft linens. The shower and bathroom could be better. Breakfast was very simple, but it costs very little extra, so I can’t really complain. I’d highly recommend this simple, basic but very comfortable hotel.
