The food was all divine, especially the sticky toffee pudding and Eton mess cheesecake. I also loved being able to have three meats on the plate! :) I came with my daughter for Sunday lunch, and what stayed with me beyond the meal was the warmth and care Adam and his team put into this beautiful place. We’ll definitely be back, and highly recommend it ✨

Room 8 was beautiful, though be aware it’s up in the attic, with narrow corridors and two flights of stairs. Breakfast was perfect, the service excellent, and the model village charming. The location is lovely, but we were disappointed not to be told when booking that the bar and restaurant would be closed to guests for a private event on our first night. We’d booked here to use the facilities on site, so that was a letdown.

Christina at the front of house was friendly and especially helpful throughout our stay. When we arrived in room 7, an attic room overlooking the car park, we found the sloped ceilings and beams awkward, including beside the bed and in the shower. Not great for someone who’s 6ft’3. We asked to change rooms and were grateful that Christina helped us move to the larger room 4, which had a flat ceiling. Both rooms had super king beds. We enjoyed breakfast, with a full English available and extras on request. The bar was cosy in the evenings beside the log fire. This is an old hotel with the features you’d expect, and some rooms suit people better than others. The stairs are narrow, but the village location is hard to fault, with plenty of bars and cafes nearby. There’s a hotel car park where we always found a space, and guests pay only £7.50 for 4 days.

Adam really looked after my wife and me while we were celebrating our golden wedding anniversary. We appreciated it very much, thank you, Adam. We’d already tried two other pubs in Bourton-on-the-Water and hadn’t been impressed, then found this lovely haven. It’s about a hundred yards from the main village, with brilliant decor, atmosphere and a great choice of beers. I wholeheartedly recommend this awesome pub.

The food in the bar and restaurant was superb, and breakfast was just as good. I especially liked that the ingredients are locally sourced and the menu says exactly where they come from. The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a lovely location and is tastefully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our room was a little small, but had everything we needed and a very comfortable bed. In such a lovely place, you won’t spend much time in the room. We loved our stay!
