The Admirals Inn Guest House

The bed was really comfortable, and when I had a problem with the room heat, the staff sorted it out quickly. Check-in happens at the main hotel, since the guesthouse itself has no staff, so keep that in mind. Admiral Inn Guesthouse was a good fit for my short stay in Bracknell: basic, affordable, clean and quiet, with service that was better than I expected for a no-frills place.

I’d stay again. Housekeeping was brilliant, making the bed and leaving fresh towels each day. The room and entrance locks were broken and nearly hanging off, though. I stayed three nights for work and arrived in the dark, with no signs showing where to collect the keys. The map only brought me to the guest house. Luckily, some people driving past saw I was distressed and stopped to help. The key pickup is simple once you know: cross the road and take the hidden path between the trees. That should be made clear in the instructions.

I stayed for two weeks on a work trip and really enjoyed it. Everyone was friendly, especially Tom, who checked that things were going well from the time I arrived until checkout. The room was clean and recently refurbished, and there’s a lovely big garden. Across the road, the Cunningham hotel runs the guest house, and you can order food there. The Yorkshire wrap was amazing and definitely my favourite. Luke’s special chicken burger was good too. I’d happily come back.

Quiet location, spotless and well-maintained, with staff who were really helpful. I’d have liked a microwave and a better fridge. There’s a shaver socket in the bathroom, which is handy, but it would be better with a mirror beside it. Nice stay, and I’d return.
